New to the Atlantic Seaboard residential development market is The Ivory, an exciting, luxury development being brought to the market by Jawitz Properties. Consisting of seven sectional title units, the four-storey development is set on the corner of Kloof and Kings Roads.
The name - The Ivory – relates to a new environmentally-conscious concept in that a percentage of sales will be donated to The Elephant Foundation, an organisation focused on protecting the safety of elephants and based in Plettenberg Bay.
At The Ivory, old world charm meets modern living here where high ceilings, wooden flooring and sleek, contemporary, green fittings co-habit beautifully. Unspoilt views of the sea and mountains through the large, glass stacking doors enhance the light atmosphere of the apartments. Priced from R4.9 million inclusive of VAT, the development comprises one three-bedroom ground floor apartment offering a private garden and pool, five two-bedroom apartments and one three-bedroom penthouse suite on the top floor with two optional roof decks.
Living spaces start at 100m2 with wrap-around balconies ranging in size and starting from 30m2 with frameless glass balustrades. An added feature is that each bedroom within The Ivory is designed to have its own balcony.
Security on the premises will be top notch offering bio-metric controlled access, electric fencing and CCTV. The complex will be gated with a pedestrian entrance and secured basement access, with the penthouse enjoying direct lift access.
There will be two larger-than-standard parking bays allocated to each unit with optional private storage space in the basement. “The Ivory is tailored to suit city-living families, professionals or those looking for a lock-up and go lifestyle,” says Venter.
Each unit will have a minimum of two bathrooms with high end finishes. Kitchens will feature imported Italian fittings and all appliances will be supplied and can be fully integrated on request. The proposed layouts as well as fittings within each apartment are flexible within reason, where the developers are happy to work with buyers to create a bespoke living space.
“To date, Phase Three has been predominately active on the Garden Route, and The Ivory will be the company’s first Atlantic Seaboard project, with the aim to expand their brand in the area,” Venter says.
Apartments will be sold excluding transfer duty, as they will be bought directly from the developers. The Ivory is set to be completed by October 2015.
“There is very strong demand for sectional title properties on the Atlantic Seaboard”, adds Glenda Luitingh, Branch Manager of Jawitz Properties’ Atlantic Seaboard office. “The Ivory is a great investment opportunity and will bring some relief to the current shortage of stock in the area,” she concludes
